Happy New Year!
I've given myself some new fresh starts for this year, what about you? New Year resolutions are great and can really happen at any time of the year, but like newly fallen snow the new year feels like a clean slate to start out with. My New Year's eve, this past year, was spent in the hospital. But I finally found out what has been plaguing me for the past 2 months. A kidney infection with stones. Well waking up on New Year's day I was so happy! I had a solution and God helped me out. I've learned this past year to look on the bright side of Life when life gets down and dirty.
So my husband was so sweet to get me my #1 wish on my gifts list. A MISTI stamping tool. I really needed it to help me make multiple cards all at once. It arrived yesterday and I'm so stoked! I used it right away to make 7 sympathy cards within an hour! A huge first for me! I think I'm in love! LOL!
This card I made has a raised score line at 1/4 of an inch and than just a very simple stamping with masking. I used the Vintage Roses from Altenew. Using the MISTI tool helped wonders in lining up the stamps and also restamping the images as some of my ink pads were a bit dry. I also have a video that I made just using the MISTI tool.
Another resolution I want to implant is to send out more blog posts. I enjoy many other blog posts from other artists and want to share my artistic journey as well. The post may still be a bit random, because I'm also switching my son's homeschooling curriculum. So our first couple of months may be a adjustment, but I hope to adjust for more time blogging and crafting.
Wishing you a wonderful New Year filled with many blessings!
God Bless!
Joyce Dyck
